We are seeking an experienced Paid Media Director to lead and mentor our team of 15 professionals while driving the success of high-impact campaigns across multiple channels. The Paid Media Director will oversee the agency’s paid media operations, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and optimization of digital and traditional advertising campaigns. This role demands a data-driven, analytical approach with creative problem-solving skills to maximize campaign performance and client success. Additionally, the director will be instrumental in shaping agency processes, mentoring the team, and contributing to business growth initiatives through a strong strategic mindset, and the ability to foster a high-performance team culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a team of 10-15 paid media and advertising professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct monthly 1-on-1 check-ins, semi-annual, and annual performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings, offering strategic insights and spearheading key initiatives.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard top industry talent to strengthen the agency’s paid media team.
  • Champion a high-performance, feedback-driven culture aligned with the agency’s annual goals.

Paid Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive paid media strategies across Search, Programmatic Display, Retargeting, and Paid Social to drive client success.
  • Lead campaign planning, budget allocation, consumer journey mapping, and audience segmentation to optimize performance.
  • Ensure seamless implementation, tracking, and measurement using advanced analytics, tags, and pixel tracking technologies.
  • Drive continuous performance optimization, leveraging real-time insights, A/B testing, and industry best practices.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance campaign impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, creative, content, web/email and analytics teams to ensure cohesive, high-performing campaigns.

Client Services & Account Management

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, ensuring paid media efforts align with broader marketing objectives.
  • Lead client onboarding, campaign kick-offs, and regular reporting meetings, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Manage vendor relationships with ad platforms and technology providers to drive innovation and efficiency.

Business Development & Thought Leadership

  • Support agency growth by developing paid media strategies for new business pitches and client proposals.
  • Represent the agency at industry events, networking opportunities, and public speaking engagements to strengthen brand presence.
  • Stay ahead of digital advertising trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to inform agency strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-have:

  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring a team of digital advertising professionals.
  • Deep expertise in paid media across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, Programmatic DSPs, and other major platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience leveraging campaign data to drive performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present insights to clients and stakeholders.
  • Client service-oriented mindset, with a track record of delivering high-impact advertising solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with tracking, attribution modeling, and conversion optimization using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and other analytics tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, balancing multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Digital advertising certifications, such as Google Ads (Search, Display, Video, Measurement), Meta Blueprint, Microsoft Advertising, or other industry-recognized credentials.
  • Experience in e-commerce, lead generation, or performance marketing industries.
  • Spanish language proficiency (a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with AI-driven advertising solutions and automation tools.
