Role Overview

Roar Media is seeking a proactive, creative, and passionate Social Media Specialist to support the development, execution, and management of social media strategies and content initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients.

This role combines content creation, platform expertise, organizational skills, and client communication to deliver engaging, high-performing social media programs tailored to each client’s goals and audience. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, trend-aware, and able to “hit the ground running” in a fast-paced agency environment.

The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the account services, creative, PR, influencer, and digital teams to execute compelling campaigns, manage ongoing social media activity, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in or near the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area and available for occasional in-person content shoots, meetings, and team collaboration as needed.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and management of social media strategies and content calendars across platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Create, write, edit, schedule, and publish engaging social media content aligned with client brand voice, audience, and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with account services, creative, PR, influencer, and digital teams to execute integrated social media campaigns and content initiatives.
  • Contribute to content creation through ideation, copywriting, trend research, content capture direction, and collaboration with designers and creators on static and video assets.
  • Plan, conduct, and capture social-first content at client events, activations, locations, or venues when needed.
  • Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, providing ongoing optimization recommendations based on analytics and platform insights.
  • Prepare reports, audits, and performance analyses using social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Support influencer identification, coordination, and execution for influencer marketing campaigns and partnerships.
  • Manage community engagement responsibilities, including monitoring comments, messages, conversations, and escalating sensitive issues when necessary.
  • Participate in client communications, presentations, and day-to-day account support for social media programs.
  • Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform updates, creator economy developments, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute ideas to improve social media performance, audience growth, engagement, workflow efficiencies, and creative experimentation.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital communications in an agency or in-house environment. Agency experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, content formats, trends, and platform best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including copywriting, editing, proofreading, grammar, and tone adaptation. Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with photography, videography, content capture, or mobile-first content creation.
  • Real estate, travel, hospitality, destination, and lifestyle marketing experience is a plus
  • Experience creating and managing content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams on content production including static assets, short-form video, reels, stories, and social-first campaigns.
  • Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing and community management best practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI  tools for content ideation, scheduling optimization, or performance analysis.
  • Basic design and content editing capabilities using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
  • Bilingual English and Spanish-language preferred.
